Great news for minor hockey!  Hockey games via leagues & tournaments are permitted to return in Stage 3 (currently projected for mid to late July).

For the 2021 Season in Ontario there will be one game format:

     ◾ 5-on-5

 

STEP 3: CHOOSE YOUR DIVISION

Our age groups span from U7 (’15, ’16 YOB) all the way through to U19 (’03, ’04 YOB). Registrations will be accepted for boys and girls teams.
There will be 3 levels per age group: Elite, Rep & House

League games are held 7 days a week
. Please note: The day of the week your team plays on will be assigned when your division is full – This will be announced no later than 10 days prior to league start.

DEPOSIT 🤝

A deposit of $500 is required to confirm a team’s acceptance into the league. The balance of the team’s registration fee is due by Mon. July 19.

Payments of all forms and denominations are subject to a credit on team’s account. There will be no cash refunds for withdrawal & cancellations.

ROSTERS + JERSEYS 👕

Rosters: 
Team registrations are for a game day roster of 11 skaters + 1 goaltender.

Jerseys:
Team registrations will be required to provide their own jerseys. Conflict jerseys will be available, if required.

 

AGE GROUPS 📊

Team registrations are available for the following age groups, for both boys and girls teams. Teams will be placed in their appropriate division on a first-come, first-served basis.

U19 (2003, 2004)
U18 (2004, 2005, 2006)
U17 (2005, 2006)
U15 (2007, 2008)
U13 (2009, 2010)
U11 (2011, 2012)
U9 (2013, 2014)
U7 (2015, 2016)

 

 SKILL LEVELS 🏆

Teams are able to register for any of the following three skill-levels listed below.

◾ Elite (AAA, AA players)
◾ Rep (A, AE, Select players)
◾ House (House League players)

Pending cohort guidelines, rebalancing teams in-season may not be possible. During registration, coaches or managers are encouraged to use the Notes field to provide additional information about their team. The more information, the better!

 Games will be played 7 days a week. Divisions will be assigned a dedicated day-of-the-week for its games. Teams may be required to play off-night games, double-headers or on holiday weekends, if scheduling requires it.

*TERMS AND CONDITIONS: Season start dates, end dates, game counts, and playing format,  are subject to change based at the behest of the Ontario Provincial Government, and any of its health agencies with the authority to issue public health orders, guidelines, and/or restrictions. In the event that programming is not able to take place this summer, teams that register with a deposit will receive a credit of equal value that can be used towards any future Canlan programming or surface rental. Teams are not advised to pay more than the deposit until a target start date has been confirmed. Teams that register without a deposit will have their registration processed, however, priority will be given to teams that register with a deposit. Teams that do not put down a deposit with their registration will be required to pay an additional 10% once the league is set to begin. Once the target start date has been established at each location, teams will be required to pay-in-full prior to their first game played, regardless of whether or not a deposit has been paid.

Inclusions:
Individual teams will be placed into a division.
Each Individual participant will receive a YHL jersey

Per provincial guidelines, teams will be formed with a maximum of 11 skaters + 1 goalie

 

INDIVIDUAL FEES 💳

$289.00 + hst

Price will be subject to change based on the number of games that are able to be scheduled under our start date scenarios.

 

 

AGES + SKILL LEVELS🤝 

If your child is born between January 1st, 2003 and December 31st, 2016, they’re eligible to play!

In addition to eight age categories, we’re also offering the following skill levels:

Individuals applying to join a team are accepted in order of registration. The registration status is pending until we successfully match your child with a team of their age group & skill level. You will be sent a registration confirmation & team assignment closer to league startup.  Friend requests cannot be guaranteed, however we’ll do everything we can to accommodate them!

If games cannot be played, registrants acknowledge that any payments will be kept on-file as a credit that can be used towards future Canlan programming; no cash refunds will be issued. 
Individual registrations without payments will be kept on-file, however a spot will not be guaranteed.

Featuring five NHL-sized rinks and one Olympic-size pad, Canlan Ice Sports – York is the largest facility of its type in the Greater Toronto Area. Nestled on the campus of York University, the facility is conveniently located close to Highway 400 and Highway 407 and has subway access by way of Pioneer Village Station. One of Toronto’s minor hockey hubs, York also features the Canlan Youth Hockey League, ASHL, as well as being the home rink of the York Lions men’s and women’s hockey teams, and the Toronto Six professional hockey club.
